Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I cannot find it, but I have run across an actual Brand Name for auto parts, that was called "Genuine".
Leading evidence: 'Run across an actual brand name' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check with adam...he seems' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. Craig, check with Adam...he seems to know this stuff well.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm shopping to purchase replacement pads (front and rear) for 04 GT3 with PCCBs
Porsche OEM is silly money ($900 and $480)
Searching around, some vendors sell "Genuine" pads for about 2/3 the cost. Genuine seems to be a brand, but not one I've ever heard of before.
Any feedback on products from Genuine?
And
TRW markets a front pad that specifies as PCCB specific for about $200 but I can't find any evidence that anyone has been brave enough to use them on $3K rotors.
Thank you
It's called the Porsche tax in case you haven't learned yet. You're also getting the GT3 tax on top of that! Just do you research on which ceramic pads are ok - I'm sure there are plenty available for a "reasonable" price...
Thank you Jason, good to see a post that pertains to my question.
As you know, pagid is the oem for porsche PCCB fitment.
I'll call you to confirm the RSC1 compound is appropriate for ceramic rotors.
Cheers
Craig
Some other advice that doesn’t pertain to your request is to ask your question in the 996 GT3 forum next time. They won’t roll their eyes as much when you ask about buying “Genuine” brand pads for a $15k set of rotors.
Stop and wait just one minute....there is a separate/specific forum for the GT3?? Say it isn't so (insert sarcasm emoji here)

Post that doesn't pertain to the OP that was deposited in a forum that doesn't pertain to the OP's automobile.
You've been on Rennlist for 11 years & haven't figured out there's a GT3 forum for PCCB questions? I'm not even angry, it's actually kind of impressive.
Actually, the intent of the post was to determine information regarding "Genuine" brand brake pads;
Do they exist?
Are they any good?
Have you ever used them?
As indicated in both the subject line and the body of the original post.
I thought that since the 996 board gets much more traffic than the 996 GT3 board, there might be a chance I would receive useful information.
I did, from Jason, the rest, including this post, is just noise.
Mission accomplished.
Cheers
I see where you're coming from, but think you're misinterpreting "Genuine Porsche xxxx" for being "Genuine" brand. Suncoast doesn't have any Genuine brand as an example, they just omit actual manufacturer names in lieu of the Genuine Porsche stamp. On a technical basis, it seems Genuine is simply a moniker used to inflate prices as the same quality products are available under the names of the respective manufacturers. You just need to do the due diligence on fitment.
"Anytime you see "Genuine" by a car part that should mean be a Genuine Porsche part."
Which in reality means Porsche buys the parts at a wholesale discount from one of their OEM suppliers, puts their name on the box and marks it up between 75 - 100% (maybe more sometimes).
I cannot find it, but I have run across an actual Brand Name for auto parts, that was called "Genuine".
I think maybe it was in eBay, but in the title and description it was described as "Genuine" Porsche Part. The prices were super cheap, so I did some digging, and they were not Porsche or OEM made parts. They were made by a company name Genuine.
I agree, that's what I've found also.
Smart, but deceptive marketing.
Most people, (cough cough) would assume "Genuine brand" = OEM, but not so.
One vendor told me they were made in china, another in Oz, I think I'm just going to avoid them for my / our use.
Cheers
