Suggestion
Very cool, my target was a C4S targa but I found a clean C2 with the nice wheel/brake/condition combo and didn't want to pass it up.

Suggestion
Price couldn't be beat even with having to deal with them running the battery down by leaving the doors open when we told them not to and that they apparently had neither a jump starter nor jumper cables.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

negatives:
original IMS, original clutch, no mention of any service records, grey interior, paint "appears to be original", no sport muffler option.
...i say $28K-$29K
problem with BAT SH_T auction like ebay, lots of people don't pay when they win a car. sort of a joke in many instances.
Anybody who buys a car on BAT is batshi* crazy in my mind. The cars go for much more than they would otherwise. People don't seem to care about their money when they buy something there.
The interior has strange wear patterns. The gearshift **** is all scratched up. Huh.
And... BAT IMS discussion exploding. So much misinformation and scare tactics. I know we do it to ourselves here all the time, but it seems on BAT to be more Porsche-bashing in general.
Will be interesting to see what it goes for. $16.4 right now.
Just to stir the pot - what's wrong with going to Costco for tires? Just had my DD tires replaced by them. Have an Executive membership and got a free shipping, install and nitro fill code. They do carry a very limited selection for my C4S and may buy from them when it is time.

My wife was stuck there an hour before I could get there to jump it.
Still though, haven't found a better price for PS2s.
My moms house is about 2 miles from the Michelin tire headquarters - I should have had a few vodkas and made an appearance. Maybe I can hand deliver a signed petition next time I head east??
Don't forget, it's more like $32k+ selling price once you figure in the 5% buyer's fee, not to mention any transportation costs. Not a great deal IMO.
Meh...
Couldn't agree more. I've found my gray leather seems to wear better than some of the black interiors I've seen. Plus they heat up less and make the interior a lot brighter.
As a C2 owner I smiled at this:
"Owner selling this no reserve b/c he preferred a rwd C2"
I'd be surprised if the dirty engine bay didn't factor into the price. If you're selling online images are all you have. Communicate that it's clean! The shifter is a $1k unit, but it looks worse than a $200 replacement. Lovely car, just saying. Leave the worn parts and prepare to get dinged.
Oh, come on, Costco tires alone are worth $30K.

P.S. I never did figure out what's wrong with Costco tires. My Costco told once me they'd order me Pilot Sports if I wanted them. Maybe they meant old stock Pilot Sports, not PS2s or PSSes.
As a C4 owner who RWD-ified my C4, I winced when I read that.
After doing the 3-day SDR high-performance driving class with the AWD system intact, it became clear how little I liked AWD. My indie wasn't willing to do the conversion (I guess there is a mechanic's version of the Hippocratic oath) - so I googled up Capt. Obvious's
RWD DIY
and ripped out the front wheel drive stuff.
I hate to see someone having to get rid of a car they like; it really bugs me to see someone getting rid of a car when there was a relatively easy and absolutely free solution to the fatal flaw. If seller's only problem with the car was the AWD, that's a real shame given the nearly trivial solution...
Beautiful car, though - there's a stoked buyer out there somewhere.
Yup. I have no reason to suggest that the seller has any motive other than the one listed - but...come on.
I sold my Boxster because I was unhappy with the preset radio stations. Half of them were Spanish, and I am mariachi intolerant.
