Hello all. I am just checking to see if everyone agrees with me on this. This morning while the car was stopped at a light, the warning beep rang and the message on the on-board computer screen read "indicator failure" with the oil can symbol. No red warning lights and the oil pressure gauge was flat and not registering. I read the manual and it doesn't sound like it is a catastrophic failure but just making sure. I have an appointment already in two weeks for an oil change and let the retailer know about the recent development. No response from them yet on the recent development but I only reached out to them this morning. Thought I would check with my fellow peeps and experts here. Thanks all.

Sounds like the oil pressure sender is kaput, and the car realizes it. Not an emergency, but if they have a cancellation and can get you in sooner, I would take the earlier appointment. While the failed sensor isn't a big deal, it would suck to develop an issue and not be able to recognize it due to the lack of information...

Check the connectors on the sender. Pull them off and shoot your favorite contact cleaner on them. They are different size spade connectoers so you won't get the on the wrong terminals.
