Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I like to find out if anyone else has ran into this?

I have to use tie strap to temperarily hold the plastic one in place and grind the bottom one bigger.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 03 C4S. I ordered a B&M undercar SSK and installed it. It should have been a 30 minutes install turned into a 2 hours install. The new bracket that came with the kit bolts in fine but the slot that the cable hold slides into is just a tad too small at the opening. Made me break the plastic tabs that holds the cable hold in the bracket after forcing it in. The metal one just refuse to go in. I decided to use a caliper to measure it. The opening is too small!! I have to use tie strap to temperarily hold the plastic one in place and grind the bottom one bigger. Then it slides right in and lock into place.
After everything is finished, I noticed that the weights will hit the bracket. That means whenever I used 2,4,6th the weight will hit. As a perfectiionist, I decided to grind a dent into the bracket.
1. I like to find out if anyone else has ran into this?
2. Can the cable hold be replaced? Does anyone have part number?
3. My shifter is too far to the right. Does anyone know how to adjust it.
Thanks
Alex.
On the same topic, I had a B&M SSK installed in my 02 C4 Cab. Sometimes going into gears I hear a little bit of rattling like something is loose. I think I narrowed it down to mainly 3rd gear. I'm bringing back Wednesday to have it checked. I will ask about those questions too.
The only installation problem I can remember is when two guy were sold the unit for a Boxster instead of a 996. There are about 5 versions of the unit you bought for different Porsche models. Could it be you have the wrong unit.
Some C4Ss' with a LSD need a different shifter, not sure it was avail in '03, '04 for sure. Otherwise, the wrong shifter was put in the wrong box, who knows.
