I've been considering going to the turbo hollow wheels or even the GT2 wheels as a full time wheel and using the originals as backup (track maybe).

I really like the look of my OEM wheels (I know, boring, right?). I've been considering going to the turbo hollow wheels or even the GT2 wheels as a full time wheel and using the originals as backup (track maybe). I think I should get some (puny) handling benefits with the lighter hollow turbo wheels, but was wondering if the GT2 wheels with 315/30 18's would be even better. Any drawbacks to using the wider GT2 wheels?

Oh...I'm not a fan of those wheels. I prefer the Fikse Profil 10 or BBS RS-GT or Champion RG5.

I've always loved the turbo twists, even before I owned a p-car. My all time fav would have to be BBS LM's but the cleaning is a deal breaker.

I like my thin 5 spoke carrera wheels. Easy to clean and very light. The big opening make the wheel look big. Many have asked if they are 19s.

I agree. I have always loved 5 spokes (since I got some Momo 5spokes back in 1988 for my M3). The Porsche Carrera is the best looking of the bunch IMO. Takes me no time to clean. I use a microfiber glove when washing - takes about 20 sec. a wheel. Just wondering if the hollow turbo wheels will gain me anything because of lower unsprung weight.

well the Champion RG5 wheels are the lightest of the bunch - a difference you'll feel... a friend of mine has them and says the car accelerates faster... they also look smokin!
