I have about 250 miles on recently installed RSS engine mounts, and wanted to share my experience for others considering this mod.

I consider motor mounts a wear item, and need replacing every 40-80k depending on the usage within those miles.

Suggestion
Just replaced my motor mounts at 70k miles with RSS semi-solid mounts and all I can say is definitely something you should consider.

Did you also consider changing the transmission mounts.

As far as NVH, I previously had a slight passenger seat vibration that has increased and a bit annoying, but hopefully I can figure out how to tighten things up there.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2000 C2 Cab, 6sp, 78k, DD. I have about 250 miles on recently installed RSS engine mounts, and wanted to share my experience for others considering this mod. The biggest thing I've noticed is in the handling dept. Initial turn in is crisper, and body roll through cornering is much improved! There just seems to be less "wallowing about" with the suspension, and all chassis components feel like they're communicating with each other instead of acting independently. As far as NVH, I previously had a slight passenger seat vibration that has increased and a bit annoying, but hopefully I can figure out how to tighten things up there. The only other noticeable vibration is through the wheel/pedals/shifter, and ONLY between 2900-3100rpm. It's completely tolerable, but it's certainly right in the sweet spot of highway cruising between 60-80mph in 5th and 6th respectively. This will perhaps change with a few more miles of breaking the new mounts in.
Overall, I am very pleased and recommend going to semi solid mounts for anyone looking to solidify the overall chassis feel on the cheap.
Good feedback. I'm always interested in improvements from mount replacement, is it due to worn out original mounts or the stiffer ones? On my 95k 2000 C2 I noticed a much tighter rear end when cornering after installing OEM mounts, but my passenger seat vibe went away.
I consider motor mounts a wear item, and need replacing every 40-80k depending on the usage within those miles. Any replacement, whether it be OEM fluid filled or semi solid, should be noticeable when it comes to handling or chassis rigidity. I'm confident your passenger seat vibration went away because your original mounts weren't in the best of shape, and replacing them with the originals did exactly what Porsche intended, that being a very refined 911 when to comes to NVH. Where as my seat vibration increased going to semi solid, because I was willing to sacrifice a bit of refinement for an overall more solid feeling platform. Everyone needs to consider the pros and cons, and decide for themselves, which is why I just wanted to share my experience.
Now I'm contemplating some suspension upgrades/replacement given my mileage. Damn this never ending slippery slope!
My seat vibration disappeared when I went to Wevo SS mounts. At idle, the car is much smoother. I do notice a slight increase in vibration around 3,500 RPM, but it's subtle. To me, the new mounts are a huge improvement. I think this would be true with any new mount. I do like the firmer SS mount, and I believe that it makes the car feel tighter.
Just replaced my motor mounts at 70k miles with RSS semi-solid mounts and all I can say is definitely something you should consider. Car is tighter, ride is in NO way harsher, FisterD's sound louder and have a more in the cabin with you feel. Can't wait to get out of work and get her up over 5000rpm on the highway and hit a few off ramps tonight.
Now that I've been able to log a few miles with my Wevo mounts, I like them even better. They seem to "loosen up" a little bit after a few hundred miles. They are still very tight and a huge improvement over my worn stock mounts, but the NVH issue isn't as bad. I also think that I've probably gotten used to it a bit. In any case, I don't notice any increased NVH issues at all.
OK, just drove it few miles on way home and all I can say is if your car is on original mounts with say 60k miles+ do this mod NOW. Transforms the car. Car is SOLID, car seems to have zero vibrations at idle and seats do not shake. Also, in and out of corners and body roll is nonexistent. BTW, this from a guy that is already on x74 suspension!
ZERO negatives on the RSS mounts the vibrations added to the cabin are minimal and really only noticeable with radio off and windows up. i am sure in a few weeks I will not even notice.
