Yours must be different from mine. The one on my dash gives my 996 a 50hp boost when I activate it.

They replaced the early 996.1 horsepower generator with the late 996.1/996.2 anxiety generator. The antenna is masked by that widget. Porsche installed it on all small bearing IMS cars after mid 2000 (nobody knows the exact serial numbers) and all cars after 2001.
