Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Yesterday I drained the fluid and replaced it with Redline MT-90 and its amazing how the quality of shifts has changed for the better.

I had a similar experience but used Liqui-Moly 75-90.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My former Porsche shop replaced my transmission fluid about three years ago. The car hasnt shifted very smoothly ever since and I assumed it might be due to an aging transmission. Even a 997 shifter didnt help.
Yesterday I drained the fluid and replaced it with Redline MT-90 and its amazing how the quality of shifts has changed for the better. I had read on Rennlist how this transmission could be picky about the type of fluid used, but I didnt really believe how big of a difference it could make.
Just an FYI to all those who arent too thrilled with the current performance of their transmissions shifting.
I had a similar experience but used Liqui-Moly 75-90. My trans. was shifting fine, but was very "tight" before it was warmed up. The old oil that came out smelled really bad (stunk up the whole shop). The tranny shifts amazingly well now - even when cold.
Good to know! I bought better transmission fluid a few years ago, but never had the time to put it in myself. Probably going to a local place to have them do it - my tranny shifts kinda rough, and I have some 2nd gear pop out once in a while.
I had my tranny out of the car when I did mine (very very simple) - kind of made it a no brainer and it would have been just plain dumb not to do it. When the tranny is in the car, not so much - at the very least, lower the engine and trans. - you'll be glad you did
