Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

First world problem here.
Long story short is that insurance is buying me two new wheels at 1700 a pop. Issue is getting the wheels imported is proving difficult and I can get another set of wheels if I so desire. I can get a new set of wheels for the whole car if I stay at 3400 bones or I pay the difference. Problem is that I am finding it difficult to find a set of wheels that I like in 18" with proper offset. I can find a decent amount of 19s, but having ridden on 19 for several years, i want to go back to 18s. Ive been on google and what not for a few hours and cant find much for two piece wheels. I am hoping for something that looks like this

but I cannot find a vendor that has them. Anybody got any ideas to help me get some wheels?
Thanks!
I recently bought a set of BBS RS-GTs but it wasn't easy. I contacted Tirerack and BBS directly along with half a dozen of their authorized distributors. The only place that was any help was Wheel Enhancement in L.A.
I worked with a guy named David Martin who was extremley helpful and professional.

I've seen rotiforms wheels that look similar if you are okay looking outside BBS

I also like these ESM wheels a lot if you are okay with one piece cast

You're welcome. Now that I see you are in Atlanta, you may be able to save a few bucks on shipping. The BBS RS-GT wheels are manufactured at BBS' Japan facility. My wheels came via a container ship that bypassed the west coast and went through the Panama Canal to a port in Georgia (Savannah ?). They then went to BBS in Braselton and were shipped to L.A. where Wheel Enhancement re-shipped them to me. Ideally, maybe you could work it out for a pick up at BBS in Braselton.?
wow, in my 13 years here I never noticed there was a 996 turbo forum...come on friend give me some credit. Get it together newbie.
I posted here b/c most of the 996tt folks look here as well and Im looking for info that is not specific to the turbo.
Have you checked out Forgeline? They can custom make your wheels to the offset you want. Plus its kind of cool running the same mfg wheels that are running on the cars you watch on TV.
I know you are a frequent contributor and have seen the thread, but the Apex Race Wheel technical discussion and design process was one the best I have ever seen. The really considered NB and WB cars in their process. They are still on my personal XMAS wish list!

I wanted to say thanks to all for the advice/info. I was able to get a set of BBS RS-GT wheels that will be picked up today local since a main warehouse is near me.
Dealership cant get them in for you or is the cost too prohibitive? I think there might be a slight price reduction if they are in the classic parts catalogue
The existing wheels wheels are after market wheels that are no longer made in the US (where I am) and finding a distributor that could get me the wheels quickly was proving difficult. I said screw it and bought the BBS wheels. They didnt cost much out of pocket since insurance paid for most of it.
Appreciate the referral. We put a lot into launching our Porsche program, and couldn't be more excited about the wave of production that is currently underway.
Congrats on the new wheel purchase OP!
