Yeah the temperature's are very consistent, the needle used to fluctuate with the old bumper but during the switch I cleaned the gunk out from inbetween the radiaters and now the needle only moves during warmup

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

23 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Some of you might have seen it on facebook already. Anyway, here is my 99 C2. Just passed 100k, owned since 60k. Original IMS.

POST 3Original post

Nice! The wrap looks great... Who manufactures that front bumper? Fiberglass or Polyurethane?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you! It's re-enforced fiberglass I believe, seller is "XtremeMotorCars" on ebay, I bought it local

POST 5Original post

Looks great. I like the green brake calipers as well. Well done 👍🏻

POST 6Original post

Very nice! White is so much nicer than silver IMHO... Pay close attention to you coolant temperatures as some aftermarket bumpers have been known to change the airflow through the radiators.

POST 7Original post

Thank you! The green fits white perfectly Yes I've been keeping an eye out for that. Since cleaning the radiators and fitting this bumper the temperature has been where it's suppose to be. Ive already done over 2k miles on it with no issues! Rotella T6 5w-40

POST 10Original post

Doesn't need oil, it's water cooled, duh.

POST 12Original post

I looked at a bumper like that but holy crap, the price was through the roof! Looking good!

Rotella T6 5w-40 If it wasn't the craigslist find of a lifetime I would have never gotten it :/

POST 14Original post

More importantly, where do you put your phone?

POST 17Original post

Nice work OP. We're all dying to know the process you went through to get the car looking like this. Was it originally arctic silver? The front headlights look customized of course. Where did you get that done? And, how did you go about rewiring the front blinkers? Anything you could share if very helpful to the RL community. Thanks!

POST 18Original post

Very clean and tastefully done, Livadi! I checked out your website, this 996 is an excellent rolling billboard for your work. Good stuff. Welcome to the madness!

Quotes source posts: 14493185, 14493756

Appreciate it fellas! Im a DIYer at heart so all the work on it has been done by me. To sum it all up I originally bought it as an arctic silver but have since wrapped it in gloss white. The headlights have been de-ambered and I did a projector retrofit as well. The front blinkers are wired into the OEM headlight harness. I can come up with guides down the road for these mods if anyone is interested. Thank you for taking the time to view the site! The 996 is my pride and joy, plan on seeing a new color scheme on it every summer

POST 21Original post

nice car. how many people do double takes with the 997 bumper and 996 headlights?

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 14495637

Honestly, everyone Ive spoken to about the car doesn't believe its a 99. The only ones who were able to tell I had a 997 bumper were guys who have owned or already own some sort of Porsche and even then most of them say it looks pretty good.

POST 23Original post

Nice ride I like the body and the cool color scheme to include the green calipers with the white. Nice pictures too.
