Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey all. I saw these rims for sale on Craigslist:
https://newjersey.craigslist.org/pts...290386707.html
I have a 2002 C4 with the 18" turbo twist rims.
Any ideas what it would take to get these to fit on my car? Is it just as simple as swapping my wheels for these?
Sorry but I can't help with the fitment issue but I do hope you get it worked out because that looks like a fantastic deal. I'm a little skeptical though because the price seems really low. Just my 2 cents.....
1986 911 turbo:
235/35R19
275/30R19 9Jx19 ET47
10Jx19 ET47 5x130
Add to Calculator for comparison
here's the closest I could find for 2002 C4
225/40ZR18 92Z
265/40ZR18 97Z 8Jx18 ET48
10Jx18 ET50 5x130
2.5 / 3
So bolt pattern seems to be OK, offset is pretty close. The one thing there was no info on was center bore on the 86, if the rims were hubcentric.
You'll need to know the offset of the wheels to have a better idea if they're going to fit. That said, IIRC the most common fit for a 19" wheel on a 911 of that vintage was a 9" width and a 47 offset. You might try plugging those numbers and the tire sizes (shown in the pictures on the Craigslist ad) into willtheyfit.com to get an idea of the fitment.
EDIT: never mind, bliq00 beat me to it.
This is more complicated than I would have guessed. So let me get this straight. If I were just looking at the front wheels of the '86 Turbo, the 235 is the tire width in mm. The 35 is the ratio of tire height to width and the R19 is for the diameter in inches, or 19.
9Jx19 means that the rim width is 9" and the rim diameter is 19". Wouldn't the rim diameter be smaller than the tire diameter? The 47 in ET47 means that the offset is 47 mm.
I assume that 5x130 is the bolt pattern, right?
Do I have this all right? I had to do some Googling to get this.
What is center bore? Is that the hole that's in the center of the rims?
So I get that the offset is close, but what about the fact that the wheels are larger in diameter? Do adjustments have to be made to things like the odometer? A larger circumference tire, after all, will travel more with each revolution.
Apologies if this is painfully obvious to everyone.
Maybe the best way to see if this fits is to go to the seller and try putting them on my car.
call me crazy, but those don't look like stock wheels from an '86 911, so it doesn't really matter what the stock wheel offsets/sizes were or what was recommended. You need to know what size/offset THESE wheels for sale are and then compare that to what's doable on a 996 C2.
Hit up the seller and ask him for the width of the front wheels and the width of the back wheels (you already know the diameter from the ad). You'll also need to ask him for the offsets of the fronts and backs. If he doesn't know, ask him to look at the back of one of the front wheels and the same for one of the rear wheels -- they should be stamped with such info.
Then you can go to willtheyfit.com or a similar tire calculator site to see how they will fit compared to your existing set up.
235/35F and 275/30R seems doable on a 996 NB, but not if the wheel offsets are all wrong.
I would be very skeptical about those rims and tires at that price, not only do they look like they bend very easily, I would not be surprised if they were not bent already. I bought a set of three piece wheels once and got taken because of how bent they were. Buyer beware.
I don't know about how good the tires are, I see what looks like dry rot. Also, I would be wary of 19's on a 996, the ride suffers a great deal, with no gain in cornering speed. Good luck no matter what you do.
My guess is no, those wheels will not just bolt right on. But it's impossible to know without knowing the exact measurements of the wheels for sale.
You should stick with 18 inch wheels anyway if you care about ride quality. When 4 wheels and 4 tires for a Porsche 911 cost $500 bucks there is a reason. You get what you pay for.
As mentioned above, you need to get the off-sets for these wheels. When I was figuring out if some wheels I were interested in would fit, I found that these two sites helped the best.
