Sounds like you damaged something, why not take it to a trusted repair shop to identify your problem, get it up on a lift.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi All, I went over a manhole cover last night whilst braking and heard a bit of a clunk. Now the car feels strange under braking. Front left corner dips down whilst braking but front right doesnt giving the car a jelly like feel. Also a nusty clunking can be heard on and off and also a metalic rotating sound. I could only visually check the caliper and disc last night and nothing seemed out of the ordinary and there was no movment. Anyone experienced this?
Well I am going to get the wheel off once I finish work. I want to see if its something I can repair before paying someone else to do it. Just thought someone might have an idea on whats gone wrong
had both front wheels off but couldnt see anything broken or out of place apart from the bracket that fixes the stability control lever to the lower arm on the left so I put that back in place with cable ties whilst the new part arrives. Problem still persists with a clunk on the right after I come off the brake. If the brakes are pumped on and off 3 to 4 times I eventually get a nasty clunky rotational grind almost as if its diff or drive shaft related. Again under normal driving the car seems fine. Will get it up on a ramp tomorrow in the meanwhile anyone experienced anything similar? Also forgot to mention its a 4S
Was a broken control arm at the rear which bent and snapped when the car went over the bump. I'm in the UK and bought the wishbone and control arm which attaches to the wishbone for 240. They are OEM parts for which I was quoted 430 from the main dealer.
