Suggestion

I paid quite a lot of money for the fitted type rather than generic, and yet it could have been used for any number of cars.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I want to get an outdoor cover for my 4s...it will need to spend some time in the driveway this winter. I had a covercraft weathershield cover for my 944s2 which was great.... Should I get the same for the 911....or should Ilook at coverking (about the same price) or something else?

POST 2Original post

Stick with Coverking. The fitment is perfect. I have one on my 996 and recently, by not paying attention, I purchased the covercraft for my Mercedes and the fitment was so bad I ended up purchasing the Coverking, which fits perfectly. I am using the covercraft to cover furniture in my back yard.

POST 3Original post

I've always used Covercraft for outdoor covers. I've purchased the multilayer Evolution4 cover multiple times over the past 10 years for several different cars and they fit and wear well. I do have to replace them after 2 to 3 years in the hot southern sun when use outside full time. I recently picked up a CoverKing indoor cover and I'm very happy with the fitment of that. I don't have any opinions on the exterior covers yet

POST 4Original post

My cover king probably lasted 3.5yrs outside until it started to weather through the material. Pretty much crapped out soon after their warranty expired. I'd stick with oem. They're the best you can get and they're really not much more than the other companies.

POST 5Original post

I bought a "fitted" Covercraft for my 996, and it was not even close to fitting. No mirror pockets, no wing accommodation, huge and billowy. I paid quite a lot of money for the fitted type rather than generic, and yet it could have been used for any number of cars. Tried to return it, even just exchange it for another type of cover and they wouldn't do it. The cover was unused other than one trial fitting, but was two days over the 30 day "warranty" (I had to wait on receiving my car to fit it). Even wrote a letter to the President asking to exchange, and I offered to accept a 10% penalty. No dice. Completely unsympathetic or accommodating. I will never use them again.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Interesting re:covercraft. One I had for my S2 was the weathershield hp and had mirror pockets, etc.... It fit like a glove. Guess I'll give coverking a shot.... They were both the same price.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I decidedto stick with ccovercraft.... They had a promo so with free ship and a lock kit... It was a good deal. The weathershield HP is what I went for.... Same as I had for my S2. Will post here when I get it.....and let you all know about fitment.
