Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
Those wheels will likely work, but you will need to check with a dealer/tire shop to ensure you have the appropriate spacers.

Suggestion
From what I've heard, some prefer to run narrow body wheels on their wide-body cars in the winter as all the salt/snow/rocks in the road get kicked up into the wheel wells and not onto the paint where it causes more damage.

I asked this question a couple weeks ago, did some research and was fortunate to have member help and I eventually purchased a set from a fellow Rennlister (thread below).
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I just picked up a 2004 C4s and it will be my daily driver here in Denver, CO. I am looking to get some feedback on wheel and tire size, also if anyone has a winter setup for sale please let me know.
Thanks.

Those wheels will likely work, but you will need to check with a dealer/tire shop to ensure you have the appropriate spacers. Wide-body cars (like your C4S) can accomodate tires from both wide body and narrow body vehicles. It doesn't work the other way around.

Also be sure to check your local Craigslist. Best of luck,
Andrew

I missed the ebay wheels but found a set on craigslist. it was on a 09 C4S will these fit?

Those would be OK but are not ideal. The standard wheels are:
8J x 18 50mm offset
11J x 18 45mm offset
10J x 18 47mm offset winter tire rear
The standard summer tires are 225/40-18 and 295/30-18. The problem is that winter tires do not come in 295/30-18 so Porsche says to use 265/35-18 rears. These need the 10” wide rear wheel. If you want to use the standard summer 11” rear, you need to have 275/35-18 or 285/35-18 so that the tire sits on the wheel correctly. For these to match correctly with the 4-wheel drive, 235/40-18 fronts are better than 225/40-18. They do not rub but are close so bigger might be too much.
When considering used tires, find out the date of manufacture. That is stamped on the side of the tire with week number followed by year. Ideally it is less than 6 years old. Since you have a Porsche, perhaps buying new tires is appropriate. Talk to Damon at Tire Rack.
I just looked at the PNWPCA (Seattle) web site classified ads and see a couple of possibilities for you:
