Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Long-time lurker first time poster since getting my 02 996tt about a month ago. GIAC Stage 2 Pump Tune AWE Turbo Kit incl. - Stainless Steel Exhaust - K24 Turbos - Intercoolers - DVs - Wastegates No other engine mods It's my first turbo car (high school dream car) and the first week of driving was pretty insane feeling the Boost come on. Initially was seeing 2nd gear roll-ons generating 1.4 bar pretty consistently. However after a couple weeks it started to feel seriously sluggish. Would limp its way to 0.7 bar and maybe under the hardest roll could get to 1 Bar. I was concerned that the sketchy place that did my SMOG deleted my GIAC Flash. That or a boost leak. So.... made my way over to FFTEC in Hayward, CA. Awesome group. Super enthusiastic about tuning...super friendly and straight up honest guys. They told me one of my intercooler hoses had disconnected on the left side completely. So on the one hand I was happy that they found the significant boost leak but on the other hand I'm somewhat concerned what damage I might have caused long-term from continuing to drive with effectively only one working turbo Bank. Or maybe I'm wrong there. As promised....here is the dyno sheet. Mustang AWD Dyno. 91 Octane Chevron. Outside Temp ~85F 440 tq 399 hp I welcome any feedback on the dyno run. If I'm being honest these results are pretty disheartening given what AWE and GIAC both advertised - 503Whp. And that 996tt eith X50 is rated at 450hp crank. I know they use 93 octane... and dynos can differ but seriously it's 100hp diffetence...no small beans. AND if my car with those not so cheap mods is only doing 400 HP at the wheels I'm scared to think what a bone stock 996tt would do. so is this run in line with expectations or is this Dyno just that Uber conservative? 996tt Dyno with AWE K24 turbos, Exhaust, and Intercoolers with GIAC Tune AWE Dyno results...from website
