Monday we spent a good 6 hours putting it back in, and I didn't want to tighten raise the engine/tranny all the way until after I knew I wouldn't have to remove the AC compressor (after just having reinstalled it) to plug in an electrical connection.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

20 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Starting that thread has been "the bane of my existence".

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hehehehe. This edited topic has more replies than any other I've posted! Go figure. Okay... so I'll come clean. I edited because I was too embarrassed to leave the thread as is. After "figuring it out", I realized how dumb the question was. I would have been ridiculed, laughed out, you name it! LOL Wanna know what the original title was? two AC compressor electrical connections , and I had this photo attached. And my question was, where do these connections connect to? . Wait... wait... now you can stop laughing! See how stupid? See, this was my first DIY motor/trans drop (for a 996). It's been over three weeks since the removal, and my memory failed me. It's my father's car. Monday we spent a good 6 hours putting it back in, and I didn't want to tighten raise the engine/tranny all the way until after I knew I wouldn't have to remove the AC compressor (after just having reinstalled it) to plug in an electrical connection. Anyway, there you go! I came clean. Engine & tranny are in. Next weekend I hope to have fluids back in (coolant, engine oil, tranny oil, power steering, master cylinder -- clutch slave bleed).

I don't know where the connectors go and am pretty sure I never have known. Although there have been things I knew I was thinking of but forgot what I was thinking about when I started thinking about what I was thinking about. I don't believe what he posted is what he was thinking of asking. He's faking and I'm still loooking for the subscribe button icon. It's a man trap because if they really wanted to get out they'd throw their clothes under the tires.
