My issue is that I own 3 childseats today, and would like to use one of them instead of using a lot of cash for a new porsche seat..

Hi Hope someone can help! 996 turbo, 2001 : I want to disable my passenger airbag, so i can use a childseat.. I know porsche have a system that does this, but with a porsche childseat and that bar under the seat.. My issue is that I own 3 childseats today, and would like to use one of them instead of using a lot of cash for a new porsche seat.. Is there a workaround, What does the bar you can buy actually do when the belt is plugged in? Working diagram? I guess it's possible to mount a switch under there instead, but like I said I don't know how the bar works 😱 Do anyone have some tips to what kind of childseats that fits in the back? The backseats are very small, so my childseats won't fit at all.. The kid is 2,5 years, so the childseat needs to be for that age.. 😀

There is a nothing special about the Porsche car seats and you can use any car seat you want with the disabling bar. You only need the male portion of the buckle that plugs in.
