I know that this sounds trivial,but I had set stations before and that is driving me nuts that I can not set them again.

My problem is that after the battery died and I had to replace the battery, all the radio stations presets where gone.

I can change the station with the **** but that takes my eyes off the road and so, I have not been changing stations while I am driving.

I have a trivial if not a stupid question on the radio in my 2004 Targa. It is the standard stock radio with the CD player. My problem is that after the battery died and I had to replace the battery, all the radio stations presets where gone. No problem thought I, I will simply reset them. I have not been able to reset them by holding the preset button down for 3 to 5 seconds like I was told. Do the members of this learned forum have any advice on to set the radio stations to the buttons? I can change the station with the **** but that takes my eyes off the road and so, I have not been changing stations while I am driving. I know that this sounds trivial,but I had set stations before and that is driving me nuts that I can not set them again. Thank you in advance for the help.

Hmmm, I have the CDR23 radio (with CD player) in my 04 and it presets by depressing the station button. Maybe try resetting the radio by disconnecting the battery?

Mine press and hold for a few seconds then I hear a tone, and it is set. Maybe there are different modes where this is allowed? Might be worth digging up a radio manual to see.
