Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Anyone have a chance to check the seat backs for me?

Obviously 180 degree change from where you are now, but if using BKs solution above does not work, it may be your only solution.

Apparently I can line up the rear most hole (thats meant for bolting the bracket to the floor) with the rear hole of the side mount and run the bolt through everything.

Use porsche manual slider, and the porsche sub-mount

I found the best solution for a slider was using the Porsche manual slider, and the Porsche sub-mount, with the BK side brackets made to fit those, paired with the appropriate seat.

Also, when I had my race car, I found that bolting the side brackets down first and then putting the seat in, and bolting the seat to it using those side mounts was easiest.

I was dealing with fixed mounting though (welded to the chassis) and didn't need to swap them in and out, like some folks like to do on a street/track mixed use vehicle.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Seating position is lower than stock but I cant figure out how to get the seat further back. Currently the seating position is considerably closer to the steering wheel than the stock seats allowed.
im sure its a stupid omission on my part but someone open my eyes please lol
Heres a shot of one of the rails removed.
If i move the seat any further rearward on the floor mount it will block access to the holes to mount the floor mount to the car
Called Tech Support this morning.

I'm at work now but i'll be able to report back in a couple hours if that works for me.
I don't know if it works for you, considering you are trying to get additional head room, but when I bought my '02 the prior owner had a similar setup to yours, but with a slider in between. It would adds a little height to the whole operation, but it would give you fore/aft adjustability. It was set up to be a bolt in, bolt out setup (those Brey Krause brackets make that part easy).
One other idea might be to make a thin adapter plate that can bolt to your base (aligned with the base's hole spacing), with fasteners (pointing upward, countersunk flush into the bottom and tack welded) at the locations of your vertical mounting points - at the locations you need to get the leg room. That would give you an intermediate layer that isn't so dependent on lucking out on their spacing.
Slider will allow you to get the seat back, but it will raise the seat. I found the best solution for a slider was using the Porsche manual slider, and the Porsche sub-mount, with the BK side brackets made to fit those, paired with the appropriate seat. Obviously 180 degree change from where you are now, but if using BKs solution above does not work, it may be your only solution. I did have someone on the forum who was 6'5" looking to try this set up. He came to my house, it was tight, but did work for him.
Thanks brother,
I'm thinking i'm going to stick with the original seats for now... maybe if I find a decent set of Sport Seats i'd snap them up for the right price but i'm done trying to fiddle with these for now.
I'll be posting up my brackets and maybe the seat in the classifieds sooner or later. May make a little driving simulator out of the seat yet LOL
Anyone have a chance to check the seat backs for me? I'd like to swap my right seat back to my left seat bottom. Just until I can have a proper recover done next year.
It will, that's how I have these seats in my 986 Boxster, it is a great seat and gives me a nice boost of extra headroom and legroom. I did the same thing, called them
