If you've changed oil just prior to storage there's absolutely no need to change it again in the Spring.

I've searched, but haven't found any recent threads on winter storage, so figured I'd start a new one.
After driving my C4 cab through every Wisconsin winter since 2011, I've ordered a 2017 Wrangler Rubicon as a winter daily.
I've got a battery maintainer, and read I should tape over intake and exhaust to prevent critters from making new homes. Also, use moth ***** on the interior. Oh, and use stabil of course. Anything else I should know? The Jeep won't be here until the end of Dec, so I have some time. I'll still have to put on winter tires and hard top one more time.
I just changed the oil. I know you are supposed to change the oil for storage, then again in spring. This didn't really make sense to me until I read a post from Jake. Unfortunately I don't remember the reason, and can't find the post!
Inflate your tyres to the maximum indicated to prevent them going square. There was an article on Flat sixes I think.

If you've changed oil just prior to storage there's absolutely no need to change it again in the Spring. Inflate your tires to around 50 psi and put some carpet squares under them. This will help minimize flat spotting. You're likely to still have a little flat spotting but after driving a few miles in the Spring they'll get round again. Some folks recommend tire cradles and that's probably the best solution, but carpet squares are cheaper.
If you feel compelled to put your car on jack stands place them under the suspension so the suspension is compressed as if it was sitting on the ground. Do not store you car on jack stands that are under the chassis. The suspension is designed to hold the weight of the car. Also, do not start the car while in storage unless you can let it get up to full operating temp (unlikely by just idling). Starting it and letting it run for a few minutes will only make condensation in your engine, exhaust, etc.
Otherwise it sounds like you've got things covered, i.e. Stabil in the (full) gas tank, battery tender, etc. The only other thing I do is use a car cover. If you want to do all the other stuff outlined in other threads, have at it. I think it's overkill. I've been storing all my cars this way for many many years, usually beginning in late Oct and don't get them out until late April (long Cleveland winters), and have never had any problems in the Spring.

Interesting what you say about the oil. I've read from a few different sources you should do it fall and spring, even if no miles are driven during the winter.
Good idea with the carpet squares, I was going to inflate the tires, and I bet carpet would also help.
