Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

That mount looks toast. Just installed some torque solutions semi solid mounts a couple weeks ago, biggest change to the car yet. Now it doesn't feel like the motor is just hanging out of the back end, it feels one with the car.
If you decide to just put stock mounts back in, found them for $160/pr shipped at AutohausAZ. Fresh mounts, even the oem mounts, will crispen up the handling and shifting quite a bit.
It's hard to tell visually if a mount is 'shot' while still installed in the car. The actually go through gradual deterioration, but when you compare the replacements to the ones you pull out, you'll see how 'stretched' the old mounts are. Very easy to do as well.
Below are my serviceable but definitely stretched original motor mounts, about 58K miles (left) and a fresh oem mount.
When the time comes, I think I'll go the OEM route. As much as everyone raves about the handling and shifting improvements of stiffer mounts, I'm scared to add any NVH, since the streetability is one of my favorite things about the car.
Evidently another good solution is to use the OEM 964 RS mounts... All oem parts, compatible with 996 gen cars, a bit stiffer, but significantly more expensive at $433/pr. It's just money :-) i might have tried these if I found out about them before I ordered the replacement oem's.
