Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261027T044418Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm new here and only a hand full of benign posts. Has anyone installed or took a serious look at European Parts Solution's "REAR MAIN #8 BEARING SEAL AND HOUSING"? It seems like a good idea to stop leakage from the RMS and perhaps give the 8th bearing a little more support.

POST 3Original post

OEM RMS seems to work well enough. Could just goober up some gasket maker around the RMS also.

Agreed. We discussed this product in detail when it came out some time ago.It was discredited by the experts(not me!) . The upgraded 997 part works well if installed correctly and if the required checks and inspections are done. It requires a special tool (or diy equivalent) .It is very easy to install it so it looks O.K. but is actually wrong ! Give the job to an experienced, honest M96 guy. He will also inspect other potential problem areas. Be careful with EPS. They have some good ideas but .....check here first ?
