Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I recently left on vacation for a month and when I returned my Porsche 996's battery had gone dead. I was trying to open the door to get to the fuse box to start the process of charging the battery but the door would not open, I assume this is because the window didn't go down, so I tried pushing the window down (this worked last time something like this happened). This time it did not, and now the door will not open, so I'm left with a dead Porsche 996. (Also I spent about 10 minutes getting the door closed, so no moisture or rain got into the interior.) Does anyone have any solutions? Thanks, Aaron

POST 2Original post

Pull harder on door. It will open. Did you unlock car ? use the key fob on driver door handle. Yes fuse box is right idea. If you can jump start the car, do it from engine bay positive / negative contacts. Drive the car around for an hour and it's good to go. When i leave for a long time, i always leave car unlock.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, yes I did unlock the car, I'll try opening the car again after the rain stops.
