Hi Guys, I used a putty knife to scrape away as much of the black glue / silicone in the groove at the edge of the clear plastic lense.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I need to clean the inside of the plastic cover, it's yellow-ish. I already know how to pop the headlight assembly out of the car, but how do I take the clear plastic off the assembly?? Thanks.
Raphael, please stop posting your topics in all caps
The only way to open the headlights is to bake them in the oven, search on 6speed someone has definitely done it over there.
Don't do it.
Start with a medium sized sledge hammer.
Put the light on a hard surface, like the garage floor.
Lightly slam the sledge hammer on the edge of the light, repeat this process until the light opens.
You're welcome.
OK I wasn't going to do this, but...

But I must say again, don't do it unless you're very good at this, once you've broken the seal it will be very difficult to prevent moisture from entering
Hi Guys, I used a putty knife to scrape away as much of the black glue / silicone in the groove at the edge of the clear plastic lense. Then baked in the oven at 225 F for about 10 to 15 minutes. I was then able to lever against the softer black plastic and slowly pry out the clear lense. bob
