Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261027T003124Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hi all my shortshift kit is installed and the reverse doesnt seem to enter in position. anyone know why or anything to look at? thanks rennlist

POST 2Original post

Did you mark the cables with a black marker before you removed them from the unit? Could be the cables need to be adjusted if they unknowingly changed length when you put them back in. Might want to check that.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yes i did, that's the thing i dont understand, i marked them and put them back in, but it just doesnt want to go far left to engage reverse...

POST 4Original post

You may want to make a cable adjustment then to see if that corrects your issue with reverse.

+1.... just be methodical when you adjust them and testing each gear before buttoning up.

POST 6Original post

What kind of SSK? If it's the 997 type that comes with the whole shifter tower, marking the cable is not the best way. It should come with a plastic centering piece that locks the shifter so the cables just connect wherever they fall into. If it's the B&M type, then marking the cables should work.
