Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Purchased on a whim from Japan in early December 2018. Arrived March 2019. 2001 C4 Manual Aero Cup Kit (not on the option list but genuine Porsche parts) GT3 Wheels Black Interior M030 Sport Suspension Sunroof Delete Alcantara Headliner (Z09991 option?) 68,0000 miles $19,875 USD total cost including purchase price, auction agent fees, shipping, brokerage, duties, out of country inspection and taxes Using it as my daily driver and loving it so far especially now that I have had the crazy Japanese Nav and radar detector removed (very yelly at me in Japanese). I am well aware of the IMS, RMS, AOS, etc. equaling a POS but remember I paid for it with my money and was happy to do so. I have always loved how the 996.1 GT3 looked and when I realized I could afford to buy a look a like, I had to have it. Not planning on doing anything to the car except drive it with a smile on my face (regular oil changes and any required maintenance as well of course). If it turns out to be a POS, so be it. Anything that looks that good it is going to be hard to stay mad at.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I forgot to mention it has aftermarket headers. Does anyone know what brand of headers these are?

POST 7Original post

Are those springs on the headers a cutout? If so, you need to post the sound differential! Never seen that before. TC ETA: Beautiful car! Drive the **** outta her!

POST 8Original post

Stunning Aero Car, Very Cool Option List (sunroof delete, etc)! Welcome!

I think the header is 2 pieces and the spring is what holds them together.

POST 10Original post

Very nice and congrats. What exhaust tips are those? They look bigger than stock 100mm. I have a similar car and love it. 2001 C2 Aero Manual in polar silver.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That is correct. It looks like they are two piece headers and the spring keeps it tight together .

Nice! I love the look of the aero kit. My car is Arctic Silver which from what I have read was a common colour. The exhaust tips came with the car so I am not sure what brand they are but they are aftermarket. The tips are 135 mm at the widest point.

No rush at all, but mind looking to see if there are any markings on them? I was looking to install different tips, like yours, when I change the exhaust to fister. Porsche ones are stupid expensive. Thank you.

POST 14Original post

Great looking Aero and looks like you did quite well on total price paid. Congrats!

Congrats....nice Aero....Its one of my favorite cars...

POST 19Original post

Well bought! I really like the .1 Aero but don't care for the Taco.

it's my favorite wing of all time followed by the 2007 gt3 wing.

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 15855823

It is my favorite wing as well. It is a piece of functional art Porsche put on the car and in my opinion it just makes the car. Because it is art it evokes an emotional response, people will love it or hate it. I love it and is one of the main reasons I had to buy a 996.1 aero.
