Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

42 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Or shall I say what other Porsche will you like to be next to your 996? We are contemplating on getting a Cayenne S (Baby OTW). But also, looking into a 83 Carrera Coupe

POST 2Original post

I owned a '76 912E since 1980....gave it to my youngest daughter It can't be sold though. It will be a nice legacy.

POST 4Original post

We have a Cayenne S. It proved it's worth this week. With a set of new snow tires, it was unstoppable in 10" of unplowed snow. I love it!

POST 5Original post

I have a can opener and a nice set of plastic chop sticks... what else would you need!

POST 6Original post

Ou other porsche - My wife's transportation is a 1993 968 Cabrio. I was going to sell this when I found my C4 but she said "I want it ... sell the Avalon!" so we did and now we have the Sun Porsche and the Rain Porsche.

POST 7Original post

I got a 944 Turbo. Thinking about adding a Boxster S.

POST 9Original post

Have an 01 Boxster S that i've been trying to sell for a while now. Like the car but it's just too slow.

POST 10Original post

I have a 944 Turbo S and a 914. It's a good mix - good for "generational comparisons".

POST 12Original post

I had a 944 S2 Cabrio which I would have kept but it just didn't make sense having two Porsche convertibles in one household.

POST 13Original post

I'm my sig, But I have had my 3.2 Carrera for over 15 years and I also have a Cayenne S daily driver. .... If I could have a few more... I would Really miss my 88 951.

POST 14Original post

I have a 1987 928 S4 5spd, 1990 964 C2 targa for sale and 2004 996

POST 15Original post

Cool David.... I just realized the 964 Targa looks "unussualy" which means I dont think I see many of them... is that true? see a ton of older Targas

POST 16Original post

Sorry for the bad quality phone pic, these are the ones i had lying around...

You beat me to the punch line!

POST 18Original post

looking to upgrade the Mazdaspeed6 in the next year. Looking at a CPO Cayenne S (if the wife has her way) or a preowned v6 Panamera (if I have my way).

POST 19Original post

Right now, our other Porsche is a 2004 Cayenne S. It's my wife's DD. It's a wonderful vehicle. Now that we live in the mountains, I'm getting the itch for something turbocharged. We'll see what happens next. It's hard to justify an upgrade to the C4S right now because it's paid for, and in the next 2 years I'll have 2 kids in college. We'll see how it goes.

POST 20Original post

this is a good ??? Im thinking of selling.... but should: 1. I keep her 2. sell and get a gt3. 3.Prefered, just buy a gt3, and deal with storing the gt3 and daily drive the 996....

POST 21Original post

I think it's clear that you should get a GT3 first, and then decide what to do with your existing car. Are you thinking of a 996 GT3 or a 997 GT3? Just curious...

POST 28Original post

I've got a 2000 Boxster S that I've had since new waiting out the winter in Indiana.

POST 29Original post

Looks like it won't be headed out this week... pretty nasty stuff headed your way today...

POST 30 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This site is trouble! Where tha heck do you all keep them? I have a 3 car garage and is full right now. I don't have the ceiling height for a lift and certainly don't want to keep a car out in the wild. Well, if I get the Cayenne S (or maybe a Turbo?) the E55 is GONE!!!

POST 31Original post

You got that right. I have a full 3-car garage also, and I've already been checking building codes and deed restrictions to see if I can add another 2-car garage!

That is a great idea. I have a large lot but my issue is that I live on a hill so my lot is not flat Well, I have a high pitched roof so if $$$ and of course wife allows I might go up someday.

POST 33Original post

What is this 'if the wife allows' stuff? The ex got to do what ever he wanted (boys and their toys) - OH WAIT! - maybe that was the problem - I didn't have him on a short enough leash!!!! Need more pics of smokin' hot race cars

POST 34Original post

A Cayenne, but for a failed PPI I would also have this:

POST 36Original post

Oh, yeah. I've also got this laying around somewhere. No, I'm not planning on changing out the pumpkins

POST 37Original post

1964 356C 1976 912E street car 1976 912E Land Speed Race car 1998 Boxster track car 2000 Millennium 996

POST 38Original post

Aside from the 996, we have a 2006 C350 Merc and last monday brought home a 2006 Cayenne. This morning after one week of having it home my wife actually left it at home for me today with a note saying that she felt sorry for me and that i could have a turn! It is really fun to drive and corners really nice and flat...........I'll bet it could out slalom many cars out there!! Pete

POST 39Original post

Ivangene, You don`t see to many around, that being said, they are not really rare. David

POST 40Original post

Besides the 996 I have a 914 LE "Bumblebee", hope to have it on the road this summer. The car was stored for more than 20 years before I found it 2 years ago.

POST 41Original post

I have two '67 912s that are restorations on hold and one '70 Targa that is waaaaay too far gone to be restoration material.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
