Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well the car is going to fight me any way it can. Got my idle issues straightened out, then smoke, and lots of it. Turns out the end of my 15mm power steering line failed in the engine bay. all that 11s went all over the exhaust. Glad there was no fire. anyway do I have any options other than replacing the whole line ??? here is the end that attached to the PS line to front of car.

POST 2Original post

Your other option is to send it off to a hydraulic shop to repair the line. This is a frustrating exercise to find the one to do it, then waiting days for them to get it done. Sometimes, it's better just to buy a line from Pelican, or somebody.

POST 3Original post

Check out the tractor trailer shops - we have one in our (rural) area that can build custom hoses while you wait.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

this is a real funky system, and not one that i have ever seen before. I am going to get a M16 x1.5 to an adaptor, Put a barbed end on, cut the end off the pipe in the car and gat a hose over it then hopefully I can clamp on. Luckily there is a raised area that I can clamp behind a few inches back, and this is the return line. I will try to post a pick in couple of weeks. Traveling next week. Just have to say wow is this a cluster. A unique design that is in no way standard or related to other solutions. The connection goes onto the hose and sits there via a compression like fitting. I think either the hose lip finally gave way or the plastic ring inside the nut is worn.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
