Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've been using MotorData for a couple of years and I'd say it's way better than some of apps that require payment.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I use DashCommand on my iPhone and I'm very happy with it. It can display/log/playback O2 sensor data as well any other ODB-II supported PIDs. I think DashCommand works better with iOS devices because it uses WiFi instead of Bluetooth, which used to be a restriction. I'm not sure if it still is. I believe Torque is recommended for Android. I use the Vgate iCar-II WiFi ODB-II dongle. It turns on and off automatically and has a very low profile. Both apps can provide the information you want. It's just a matter of the preference when it comes to the interface.

The only let down I have with all of the obd2 apps is none of them read oil temp.
There might have been one unit that did but it wasn't cheap from memory.
Launch Tech Easy Diag 2.0 and 3.0 bluetooth dongles read oil temp.
2.0 has Iphone and Android app. 3.0 at the moment only Android.
The device/app is more designed as a code scanner. Live data is accesible per module. So no central configurable screen which can display selected data.
But oil temp is there. To my knowledge it the only non-pro code reader that can access the oil temp data signal from the DME.
I bought mine on e-bay for 90$ which included support for two car manufacturers an two year updates.
Searching now on the internet I cannot really find anymore the product specs on the launch website. It seems only the 3.0 is for sale or the equivalent X431 for much more $$$
One other remark is that although the tool works great I have to warn you that product support is very bad. I recently upgraded my Iphone and llog-in with password does not work anymore.
A password reset from within the app does not trigger an e-mail being sent. Contacting sales/support support they refer me with my problems to the seller. That does not help.
I just checked my DashCommand app. It can record Oil Temperature if it is provided by the ODBII device. I haven't had a chance yet to check if the one I have provides that PID.
Update. The ODBII device that I have doesn't provide the oil temp, but DashCommand would display it if it did.
I've been using MotorData for a couple of years and I'd say it's way better than some of apps that require payment. It can be downloaded on Google store

. It's got a lot of functions, it's updated from time to time, also you can download a plugin special for your car model.
