Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Had to stop when I saw a 996 for sale in gas station lot. Young kid there says I dont know anything other than it has 75k miles and asking $13k. No phone number, no key to get a good look inside and hear engine. Headlights have moisture, front end few small cracks, cab roof very worn.

POST 3Original post

$13,000 for this car would be a great deal if the engine checked out. I wouldn't worry over the oxidation on the headlight enclosure. That is easily repaired by most body shops. Aside from the ugly wheels and smoked tail light covers, it looks to be in pretty good condition. If I was interested, I'd leave contact info with the gas station owner. Some people are reluctant to put phone numbers on for sale signs these days.

POST 4Original post

I'd bet the owner has some connection to the gas station, maybe owns both.

POST 5Original post

I would be really interested to hear what the deal is with it at that price.

It's a TIP and needs a new top. Possibly more...

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ill get some more info, see if service records are available. Maybe take it for a spin.

POST 8Original post

I'd avoid it because I don't want to put money to make it look how I want it but, 13k isnt bad if it runs fine
