I've been seeing a few members from the Vegas area on the 996 board. I'm creating a new thread for us to coordinate meetups. Looking forward to meeting you!
Well it looks like I'm moving to the Las Vegas area in mid July. Not the best timing but what can you do. Since I have a 996 and a 77 wide body hot rod I'll be looking for a good indie for water and air cooled cars.
Any and all suggestions would be appreciated guys. Forgot to add if it matters I'll be located on the west side of town.
Sounds great, guys! I created this thread so that we can give a heads-up to each other when we are headed to the weekly / monthly meets. I feel like there's a number of people I've been meaning to meet up with but life gets in the way! I'd love if this thread works as a tool for us to form a stronger 996 community in the area. I feel like there's a lot of us.
I'm usually at the Celebrity Car Show on Eastern on Saturday mornings with one of my cars. I'll try to remember to drive da 996 on 6/22. I would echo previous comments regarding Trophy Performance and Carl's Place for good indys in Las Vegas area.
Glad you are pleased with the turnout.

this morning. At one point we had 5 996's in the lot - 3 from Rennlist. After Aloha left I happened to run into the owner of the 996 4S parked behind BJ's and he was an 89 year old former race car driver! There are certainly some interesting Porsche drivers in the valley.
Next one for me is Cars und Kaffee at Vesta Coffee next Sunday the 30th. That is a Porsche meet that tends to draw some interesting invaders.

I'm going to be at Cars und Kaffee tomorrow, probably 8-10ish, the show is 8-11 at Vesta coffee in the arts district. If you're seeing this early - hop in your car and cruise over!

I'll do better next time.
The 904 is a replica owned and being built by Tony of Carl's Place. He's about 90% done with it, still needs finishing work and interior work. It has a 3.2 air cooled Carrera engine and a Boxster trans. He fired it up, it sounded mean! Very little sound deadening.
