Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Replace hydraulic cylinders' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace hydraulic cylinders' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Folks,
I just replaced my hydraulic cylinders after leaking issue. Got everything back together and top moved fine.
Problem: As I open and close it, the pump stops about mid way, then stops again just before latching. Releasing and pressing the switch again makes the pump run. It will latch in the closed position but the clamshell would not move. I finally diagnosed the clamshell movement to be the fact that messing with manual release I had apparently turned the manual release too far and pulled the drive out of the gear. Removed the drive mechanism to see if it was turning and it "popped back in" and the clamshell started moving again. It close and latched properly.
Trying to open the top again and I get the same issue. Top unlatches, opens exactly half way and stops. Press switch again and it closes further and stops almost all the way down. Press switch again and it folds the rest of the way but does not sit all the way down. I notice that the latch is not closing and keeping the top from going all the way down.
So... 1. Why is the top not going fully through the open/close cycle without stopping? 2. After the latch opens, doesn't it close again while going back so that it sits down flat in the down position? It stays in the unhooked position.
I have the Durametric tool and the calibration process opens the top and stops half way down just like pressing the button. I am out of sync somehow and if so how do I get back to square one? I cannot seem to release the cover for the latch mechanism to have a look at that. Generally, seems like all the individual pieces are working.
Thanks,
Chris
There are several micro switches involved with the operation of the top and I am guessing your problem is with one or more of these switches. I have some aftersales training manuals and one of them has detailed information on this. If you PM me your email address I can send you a Dropbox link with this and other information like the service manual and several PET programs.
