Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Photographed this wing yesterday and would like to know who makes it. Not who sells it, thanks.

POST 4Original post

Speed Art used to make a wing like that years ago, although that looks like a copy perhaps as the pedestals were much thinner from Speed Art. That may be the reason they stopped selling it. That is alot of wing for such small pedestals.

POST 5Original post

Doesn't look right at all. The uprights need to be integrated with the lid and not so blocky.

POST 6Original post

...looks like one of those "strap-ons" that Performance Products sells. Run away!

POST 7Original post

contact www.nrauto.com and ask them. they sell this particualr wing.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the input, good and bad. I have seen this wing on a car in person and really like it regardless of negative input. Vertex Auto has the best price at $1275 which I think is too much. I would like to go direct to the mfg in hopes of a better price. So once again, anyone know who the mfg is ?

It's the FVD GTR Adjustable Rear Wing for the Porsche 996 C4S. But you can't order directly, here's the Vivid Link: http://www.vividracing.info/catalog/...5-p-23736.html You should look at the Misha GT2M, better aero and completely reversable Here's that link: http://www.misha911.com/porsche_996_C2.html Cheers

TT Junkie, We no longer sell that wing from SpeedArt as I mentioned. When we stocked that wing it was available for the 996 C2 / C4 and 996 C4S. SirPzalot, Gmp Performance still sells this wing it appears: Here's the link: http://www.gmpperformance.com/index....PID=96059&VS=1

POST 17Original post

Porsche engineers spend much time in developing aerodynamics. They check every piece in the wind tunel test. The whole car needs an aerodynamic balance, and adding some wings could affect the compromise at high speeds. Better to go for OEM aerokit, or a prestigious brand
