I have Champion RG5s and wash my car at home, so I use a small sponge and the left over soapy water from the bucket.

Then either air dry for a day, or use a blower to dry the wheels before driving or you'll have black crud lining the inside of the rims.

I wanted to find out what methods all of you with painted wheels use to get them clean. I have Champion RG5s and wash my car at home, so I use a small sponge and the left over soapy water from the bucket. This works well, but cleaning between spokes gets very tedious. Does anybody have a better/faster method that doesn't harm the finish? * also, add pictures of your painted wheels

I have BSA 10 spoke wheels -- deep inset on rears -- 18 inch. I bought a cone shaped wheel brush -- has a rubber tip and it works great -- very easy to use. I hate brake dust. Chuck 951

I use the Meguairs Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner product to clean my wheels. Spray on and wash with sponge/brush. It will break down alot of hard to wash road grime and brake dust. Leaves a good clean finish to the wheels.

Make sure wheels and brakes are cool. Rinse with plenty of fresh water, apply P21S liquid (gel if really lots of brake dust), and wash with sheepskin/wool mitt. I also use a Mequiars spoke brush to clean inside the rim all the way through te width of the wheel. Then either air dry for a day, or use a blower to dry the wheels before driving or you'll have black crud lining the inside of the rims.

P21S Gel and a microfiber glove...I've never found a brush that gets the job done well enough on mesh wheels. Andy
