Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Need to replace stock air filter soon. Which on should I buy? The BMC is more $$ does that mean it is better than K & N.

POST 2Original post

The BMC's are have better build quality and deeper pleats, but honestly they both do the same thing. Stock (paper) airfilter will actually do a better filtering job and the gauze type filters will not give you any performance gain in these cars. The choice is yours. I have used both K&N and BMC in other cars and the BMC is just made better.
