Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I certainly don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but the new signature pictures and larger avatars take up so much space that it's now harder to find the actual posting. Reminds me of the large amount of advertising I see in Road & Track, Car and Driver, etc. that overwhelms the actual content of the magazine these days. Hey, wait a minute - if you think about it, the new signatures and avatars are "advertising" for the person who's posting and so the same thing is happening here on Rennlist...

POST 2Original post

Quick Link/Edit Options and uncheck 'Show Signatures' and 'Show Avatars'. Problem solved.

Instead of whining - become a member first. Then complain all you like. Edit: Although, I agree they are a bit on the big side. - Just edited mine. C.

Chad, Two questions: 1) What is the easiest way to shrink the sig? 2) I am Looking at a 30 day trial of photoshop. I have a Macbook Pro I use at home. Which version would you suggest I start out with. 1st project is playing around with signature. 2nd project would be to work on my rennlist web site. 3rd project would be to update another website I have for my RV. Thanks Chad, Andy T (maybe should have sent you #2 on a PM...oops).

POST 7Original post

I like my big avatar and sig pics. If Rennlist wants to reduce the size then I so be it You could also get a bigger monitor

POST 9Original post

I have to admit that I really don't like the trend in signatures. I don't want to turn them off because I like seeing the list of cars people own because it frequently helps answer questions. The only thing worse are Ben's and now SD's Avatars. That sh#t's scary! Jim

You know I'm just jerking your chain.

POST 12Original post

When I first made mine it was bigger. A mod asked me, nicely, to reduce the size to what it is now.

Oh I know you are. I'm surprised you didn't have 'Born on 911' on your list though

Your newly sized signature is much better proportioned for the postings you create. Good decision...nice job!

Chad, since I am a paying member, your sig and avatar are too small for my liking
