Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Im almost ready for a 30k service and Im faced with the following dilemma. Although my car is a 1999 I did purchase a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty from the dealer (Carmax); do I take the car to a Porsche dealer (downtown LA Motors) for the service, or can I take it to an Indy (Callas Rennsport in Torrance)? Does it matter, where the warranty is concerned, if somewhere down the road something does go wrong with the vehicle? Would the warranty company say that the car wasnt serviced by a Porsche dealer, or would that not be an issue? Truthfully, Id rather take it to Callas. Ive heard so many good things about Tony, and hes located about 3 miles from my house. However, I dont want to run into any problems down the road and Im new to the P-Game. Please help. ThanksJP

Maybe it is time to read your warranty and find out. Personally, I don't think it matters, but then I did NOT stay at a Holiday Express Inn last night. I am sure your warranty company doesn't care what I think.
