Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I like the colored when they are not beat up, I ahve one old set of colored that looked like crap so I am running a black set on my current wheels.

I'll then buy a set off of ebay to use on the wheels that I'm taking off.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I like the colored caps for most cars, but I think that on your black & white 996 the black would look good.
Besides that, you certainly wouldn't want to get tooo flashy and add any color to your car!
I agree with Tim
I prefer the color crests, but the car color also plays a role. With white, they would stand out more, so the standard black might show better.
Have you put the new rims on yet? Some pics with the colored crests would help those devoid of imagination (myself included) with a nice visual aid.
Yeah, I'm a big fan of the black crests on white - IMHO the colored ones do not look right now my car, as it's very monochrome. The wheels arrived yesterday, but it will probably be a few days before they're ready for mounting. I'm trying to get hold of some black crested centers today - that might be my rate limiting step.
For me, the coloured caps are just that little touch of authenticity. I can't imagine a Ferrari crest in black and white. I mean, it could be tasteful, but it wouldn't be the same in terms of recalling the heritage of the brand. But chacun a son gout, obviously. No wrong answer.
Yup, I see a set on ebay. My local dealers didn't have any though.
If I can I'll switch my current caps over when the tires are transferred on Wednesday. I'll then buy a set off of ebay to use on the wheels that I'm taking off.
Huh, go figure--my car has very few options, but apparently I've got "colored caps" on my wheels.
I'm not sure what's stranger--that this was actually an option on the car or that people actually have reason to want one kind over another.
Yeah, well, here's one better.
My car (according to the options sticker under the hood) came with colored caps, but had them changed out by a previous owner to the black ones that I now have - they probably shared the same opinion that I do that black emblems look better than colored on this car.
