Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I decided late one night to buy a Porsche, so I went online and looked for a dealer with a big stock of used cars.

Suggestion
Great looking 996 - there's nothing better looking than a perfectly clean, detailed black Porsche.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I made an impulse purchase of a 2001 C2 about a month ago and haven't regretted it for a moment. What an exhilarating driving experience!
Only options are the 18" turbo-look wheels and crests in the headrests. 32.5K miles when purchased for $33.5 on E-Bay, but the car was being sold by a local Porsche dealer.
Attached are the requisite pics. Yeah, yeah, I know about the pumpkins.
'Crow - Welcome to Rennlist and Congrats on getting a very nice looking P-car! I also noticed you have already become a Member, good job! Thanks for sharing the pics!
Crow - Welcome to Rennlist. As a former STL resident and PCA member go out and enjoy the club. Be sure to take part in a track event or two. I highly recommend Putnam Park. Great track for new folks to really learn their cars without the intimidation of concrete.
Enjoy the ride.
cheers,
Chad
I've joined the STL PCA, but haven't yet been to any events. The previous owner of my car was the Pres. of STL PCA some time ago, but his name escapes me. Jon over at Reid Vann tells me that the car has been on the track for DE days, and it sounds like fun. I'll have to give it a go ...
This is what I love about these cars. Reading the OP conveys just how I felt this morning making a quick trip to the grocery store. (I did pass four before I went to one.)
Condrats on the purchase. You can't regret these kinds of impulse buys....And I love the color combo.
I bought mine on impulse, too. Didn't even shop. Went to the dealer and picked the one that seemed like the best value and was lightly optioned (my preference). I never wanted to admit it here, though... no Carfax, no service history, no comparison shopping, never even considered looking in the US. Just, "Who do I make the cheque out to?" I never had any regrets, either, but I always figured if I admitted it here I'd be flayed. You have more guts than me.
Heh, same here.
I decided late one night to buy a Porsche, so I went online and looked for a dealer with a big stock of used cars.
The next day I took the day off work and drove up there. I drove a black one and it felt sorta "loose", then I spotted the one red one on the whole lot. It had very few options- even had 17" wheels. I drove it and it felt great- nice and tight and the engine just felt strong and I said "I'll take it". No carfax, research, comparo shopping, no nothing. I knew that I wanted it and never looked back.
