Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well I had a new Fuel Pump installed in my car, and I still have a loud whining noise from somewhere in the front of the car.. So as I continued to poke around the car, I noticed when i released the fuel filler cap the whining noise would disappear.. when I would tighten the cap back on the noise would gradually build up again .. The noise is like a cat meowing intermittently..and occasionally it wines for longer .. but like i said when i release the fuel cap the noise goes.. I'm totally stumped .. anyone have any ideas ?? Its driving me crazy

POST 2Original post

Any debris in the ventilation system, the fan perhaps? Scratch that...just read the rest. Was the fuel filter changed when you serviced the pump? If it is clogged, it will cause the pump to be overworked. C.
