Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 1 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After 80k miles my clutch failed and RMS needed to be replaced. Auto Sport Engineering in Stow, MA replaced both. Now the clutch feels like a Honda! Effort? After reading the threads about removing the assist spring etc, I can't imagine how anyone feels the effort is high or the feel is poor. Now I am really in love with my car. Before, the clutch engagement was abrupt and effort was hard. I thought it was normal. What a difference! Plus I had a 4 wheel alignment done, all for $2k. Maybe we should have a set of hreads for results and costs of work done on our cars. I don't see why this info should not be public domain in an easy to find place. A lot of work for John, though. Now Tim is going to tell me we already have this, and post a link.

That is actually a great idea! Unfortunately, we don't have anything like that, but it would be cool to be able to access that info. Hell, if we had that, we would stop typing words and just use the emoticon 100% of the time!

POST 3Original post

What clutch kit did you replace it with?? OEM or Sachs?

POST 5Original post

Good idea about the thread of costs. This should give others a long term maintenance cost data. I also submit that the thread should have NO kind of OT (i.e. no BS) on it to make the data easier to find.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
