Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I posted this in the General section, but I feel like I know some of you guys and respect your opinions. Here goes...
The lease on my daily driver (an Audi A4 2.0T Quattro) is ending next month. I'm seriously considering an '08 GTI. I was wondering if anyone has one and could give some feedback?
I owned an original '83 and an '86. The '83 was a fabulously fun car for its time. Most of what I read about the MkV is positive. The A4 has been a solid car and Audi is providing lots of incentive to either buy/lease another Audi or buyout my current car. But, as solid as it is, I have no emotional connection to it.
Anyway, any feedback is appreciated.
I test drove a GTI last year, it had the VW "tiptronic" tranny and I liked it a lot... it had leather seats and a few other option I believe and I really liked the car, the interior was almost like an Audi
Yep, I drove one with the DSG and the upgraded sport seats in leather. The interior quality is not quite up to the Audi, but pretty darned close. It's way beyond the '83 I had. I actually liked the fit of the seats better than the standard seats in my 996. The DSG was pretty cool. Kind of like driving a video game at first. Definitely more fun to drive than my A4 Tip.
I have a MKV 06 R32 with DSG. I love the DSG, it's super quick compare with tiptronic that I have on my 02 C2. The GTi is a ligther car and easier, cheaper car to mod compare with R32. But R32 gets the sound and AWD. Speedwise is not much different compare with GTi. A chipped GTi feels faster than a stock R32. If you want a daily driver MKV GTi is a very good choice! good luck!
Hi , got one last year, fantastic drive with chip tuned , stock is too linear .
Really fun car to drive and very secure .
Hope this helps
see ya all and have fun
