Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok I admit it... I don't know what this should read and couldn't find an answer here via search.. I noticed mine is at 5 (all the way up) when the car is cold what should it be when engine is cold? warm? at high rpm? low rpm? etc. thanks

POST 2Original post

That all depends on RPMs. 5 cold idle and WOT is good.

POST 3Original post

Should be at least 3 at 5,000 rpms. There is a control on back pressure which is good to assure oil penetrating bearing and distributing in the passages when the engine is cold. After a complete warm up mine goes down to 1 something at idle. It's 4 bar or more at 5k. Could be 5 bar but I watch the road most of the time while working the road.

POST 5Original post

When oil level is full, mine has always been 5 cold and over 4 when hot.
