Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I suspect that is why 275's are being used on the rears, rather than 285's or 295's.
Leading evidence: 'Use on the rears, rather than 285's or 295's' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). I think the middle ground might be available if you check the classifieds on this forum.

I have those wheels in chrome as my second set, they have proven very popular.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Ask as I am reasonably new to the Pcar world (got mine in April of this year) and am still getting used to it.
opinions on these wheels for my '02 cab. Mine is the same color..
FYI... I have not as yet purchased the wheels. Looking for feedback on how they look ,etc.
OK, why? Ask as I am reasonably new to the Pcar world (got mine in April of this year) and am still getting used to it. Understand that the "best" are Champions, etc. but not really agreeable to spending $4k+ on wheels. Just want some a bit more sporty than the OEM ones I have now.
You should buy my OZs, but then they don't fit.
Just stay stock if you can't get quality wheels. If you go 19s, you have to lower anyways since it looks lifted due to the lower profile tires.
Les Schwab offers free beef for a tire/wheel purchase here. They only sell cheap wheels not befitting of a 911, imo.
You make it sound as if there is NO middle ground between the "ultra" (i.e.Champtions for example) and Pep Boys specials. I have a hard time beleving this is the case.
There IS a middle ground.
One of the main "issues" seems to be whether or not certain Porsche guys think your wheels are cool or not. If being in the "in" crowd is your thing, and you seek the approval of internet avatars on some random website, then don't get the wheels. If YOU like them, then buy them and enjoy them.
hmmm something doesn't look right. the curvature and dish on the narrowbody above looks more extreme than the pic you've provided which i'm betting has a 4"+ lip which is insane.
and i believe the narrowbodies can fit 11" wide wheels in the rear, correct? widebodies i know can do 12s perfectly so long as the wheels have the proper specs.
if you're on a tighter budget than $4K wheels then do what u gotta do, but my recommendation stands. stick to OEM wheels or go big and get quality aftermarket wheels. don't go low to middle tier wheels.
i like shoes. i like expensive shoes. heritage counts. that's why i drive a 911. i bought into its motorsport history.
The fronts will extend and extra 10mm beyond stock and the rears will extend an extra 19mm.
IMHO that's a crappy fit at the rear. I suspect that is why 275's are being used on the rears, rather than 285's or 295's.
Even with the narrower 275's, I suspect they may still rub. Especially if your car is lowered.
No Sub,
I think the middle ground might be available if you check the classifieds on this forum. I also wanted to upgrade wheels on my newly acquired 996 Cab 4. It came with very nice OEM 17" wheels but after I saw the beautiful pictures on this forum I wanted to upgrade. I found a very nice set of 5 spoke Porsche wheels (see pics) in the classifieds. I don't believe there is a shortage of wheels being offered up. Guys (and gals...Hi Greta
. seem to not be afraid to swap wheels out at a pretty regular rate. PM me for more info if you like.
bro why do you want to run such narrow widths? go as wide as others typically go which i believe are 11s for the narrowbodies.
you do realize that it looks better and gives you more grip? someone needs to sit u down and chat with you about wheels.
I will help you with our super secret site to aid in your calculations. FYI the stock wheels (Mk II) are F 8.0 x 18 ET 50 and R 10.0 x 18 ET 65 and the stock weight (for the Carrera 5 spokes) are 20.5 lbs F, and 22.7 lbs R

Nosub - going with11" rears will increase the understeer and add unsprung weight. Plus, the tires will be much more expensive than tires for a 10" wide wheel. BTW - 19" wheels will give you a harsher ride because the tire aspect ratio will be smaller, which gives you less air cushion between the road and the rim.
11's will fit in the rear of a NB. I have 11.0 x 18 ET 65 on my car with 295/30 tires.
As Tim mentioned, if you go with 11's in back you should put 235's up front to maintain the balance.
