Is there a way to get the fan to run manually at all?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi... Recently...after I come off the highway....I sometimes hear a winding sound...almost like a hydraulic sound for a few seconds...then it skueels for a second and stops. Nothing loud though, and I'm usually stopped. I thought at first it was the rear decklid lowering...but the decklid is already down when this happens. I have zero idea as to what the sound could be. Any input is appreciated. This does not happen every time...but it never happened in the past. Gracias, J

POST 2Original post

The cooling fan mounted in the rear wing? Mine makes quite a racket, but it usually goes for quite a while and then stops.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hmmmm...could be that I guess. I'll check on it. Is there a way to get the fan to run manually at all? J
