Unless the seller is financing, it's doesn't matter if it's financed, a briefcase of cash, or a check from your bank.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I always love that "cash price". Like there is some other way to pay? A briefcase of money or a check from the bank is the same. It's not like they take an IOU
I think they mean no financing and either cold hard paper or cashier's check. I'm sure these times they've seen a lot of people not going through the sale because they couldn't "get approved" for financing.
When I bought our S-class, the private seller was frustrated because nobody could get approved for financing. So I said I'll give you cash (paper) but at a much lower price than asking. He took it.
I still don't understand. Unless the seller is financing, it's doesn't matter if it's financed, a briefcase of cash, or a check from your bank.
Am I missing something?
Dealers can make money from financing through the lending institutions just as they can from aftermarket warranty sales and pre-paid maintenance sales, so that would actually benefit them to finance it. Maybe they are just trying to make the impression that the price is "firm". It looks like a nice car. It has carbon fiber interior pieces and the 3-spoke wheel to help the early 996 interior look better. The engine bay does look a little dusty/dirty although it does atleast have a newer coolant cap so it's had some maintenance.
I do recall an owner of a dealership posting a pic of this car a year or two ago and calling his ride for the moment. I think he is just selling it now..
It's been for sale for some time (used to ask closer to $30k for it if I remember correctly). I've bought a car from that particular dealer in the past.
The car is oh so pretty, but the interior looks a little beat for its miles and the mods hint at a life of hard driving (not that I mind that, but I know some here do).
$27900 is stratospherically high for any 996 of this vintage. I could see it fetching about $5k less than that thanks to that gorgeous color and the mk1 aerokit, which is the prettiest of the 996 bodykits in my humble opinion. Otherwise, you can get much more for your $28k.
