Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The rear window in my cab is in excellent condition, clean and clear. The top is in excellent condition as well. Unfotunately the seam between the window and the top is starting to come apart. I was told that it is somehow electrically fused and can't be repaired with any kind of adhesive. Does anyone have ideas short of replaceing the whole top, or worse taking it to the "dealer". I would think in today's high tech world there is some adhesive that would work. Any ideas or advice much appreciated.

POST 2Original post

Search is your friend. This has been covered may times before. Take it to an auto upholstry shop and they can probably sew the window in for $250 - $300. Ask for shop recommendations in your area. It would also help if you listed your location below your avatar.

POST 3Original post

Once it is sealed, that is it. If it separates then you have 3 options: 1. Try to find an adhesive that you don't mind trying yourself. (probably won't work but worth a shot) 2. Get it stiched in like Tim just suggested 3. Get a new window burned in.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
