Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

New 996 owner. 3 months. Today I realized that my factory PSE is pretty damn loud. I never have the windows down but today I did. I was driving through a heavily congested area, 2nd St. hear in Long Beach, and I was hearing my exhaust note. Stop and go type driving. It was loud! Revving up from first gear was really throaty and I set off a car alarm. LOL. I like it! Thought I would share. I am loving my Porsche!

He's got that avatar because a honda driver keeps ragging on him.

Those damn Honda drivers! Just who do they think they are to tell a Porsche owner that...... oh wait.... uhmmm.... never mind!

POST 7Original post

Hapich, i completely agree with you on the PSE. Brings a big smile to my face every morning when I fire her up. In addition the burbles and shrieks the exhaust makes is perfect. I was fortunate to find a car with PSE installed. If i hadnt it would of been my first mod. Cheers

POST 8Original post

While I enjoy mine at startup when it sounds especially throaty, our neighbor's bedroom is their closest room to our garage -- so it's nice to be able to put it on "quiet" when I'm heading out at odd hours or want to accelerate with minimum attention. Nice system. No regrets.
