Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have a brand new pair of General UHP 275/30-19's sitting in the garage not being used from a friend, this may solve my rubbing issue.
Leading evidence: 'Use from a friend' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean those wheels' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. I am using synthetic polishes and waxes (Merzerna and Einszett) which I like because it makes the paint really bright.

Suggestion
True, they recommend a 9.5 but it seems the 10.5 works just fine, looks great.

Put the sweet Boxster wheels back on until I get my wheels machined at work and I replace the rears.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The bug has bitten, it’s too late now, you are infected, you will be unable to resist the urge so let the mods continue. Love the wheels. What size are the wheels/tires?
I don't know if they are rubbing in the back. I haven't heard anything yet.
It's a 4" lip on the back and I love the way it looks. I get compliments all the time.
rpk-038's (2)19x8.5 et45 (2)19x10.5 et52 w/General UHP tires 235/35/19 & 275/30/19
Offsets are 45 for the fronts and 52 for the rears. When I spoke to Wheel Dynamics I asked if I needed spacers and they said I wouldn't need any. I made sure to double check. Here is what they state on their website RE:
996
This car has an early version and a late version plus a wide body. All the cars typically have either 7.5" or 8" wheels with a 50mm offset in the front. GT2 GT3 18x8.5 offset 40mm front. The rear is typically the 18x10 offset 65mm. The 99-01 cars have a little narrower track in the rear but use the 65mm offset wheel. On the 99-01 cars you can use up to 11" wide rears with an offset of 52mm. The factory 997 wheel in 19x11 offset 67mm will need a small spacer in the rear with some tires. The 2002 and up cars do not have this issue as the track was slightly widened. GT3 is 18x11 offset 63mm.
Hopefully I interpreted this right! I tried to ->
before I made my buy.
How does the tire look on the rear? It is not too ballooney? General recommends a 9.5" rim for the 275/30-19 but you have a 10.5". I see now why it does not rub, the section width is about a half inch narrower than my car plus you have 100lbs less weight over the rear with the manual over my tip.
By not balloney do you mean too low a profile? I think it is somewhere between too low and too balloney. Do you have a close up pic of your rear wheel/tire?

How much or how often do the rears rub? I would rather have a more non-low profile look. If I lower the car though, I would want to stick with the current tires.
What width is your r wheels?
do you have a hard time cleaning those wheels? Use any special tools? I would love to get something like that setup but the idea of having to clean in between all of those spokes frightens me!
It's not too hard, takes a little time. I am sure there is a tool or an easier way but I just run micro fibre sponge over and through the spokes and same when drying with micro fibre towel.
I am still learning how to detail properly and wax, right now I just use sonus and lot's of micro fibre. I have only had the car a few weeks but will do the first wax soon.
Rennlist has a wealth of knowledge. In searching - I found that autotopia has more info on cleaning and stuff

Detailing is something that I have learned how to do pretty good with my new Porsche, spent 18 hours on detailing it a couple of weeks ago (just the outside).
I am using synthetic polishes and waxes (Merzerna and Einszett) which I like because it makes the paint really bright. I am using it on my wheels as well (middle section). I am waiting for some stuff to use on the lip though because it is clear coated.
But I have a recommendation for cleaning in-between washes just to get rid of dust - use a Swiffer duster. I keep one in the car just for the wheels. It grabs all of the dust from the spokes.

Yes they are...
I took them off once the cords were showing on the tires
