Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well what a day I had Saturday at the races. I wasn't actually going until I got a call late Friday night from an old friend that had some FREE tickets to the race, so of course I had to go. 3 of us ended-up going in my firends car, so nope didn't get to drive the Porsche there unfortunately. The FREE tickets were associated with the Flying Lizard Porsche GT2 racing team. We got front row parking, entry to the pit during practice and the race, access to the pit suite, and we got access to the hospitality tent which we had all the food and drink we needed for the entire day, way cool. Met some great people that showed us around, met the drivers and got to see them in action. Unfortunately I didn't get to spend too much time with the team as my friend is a Corvette fan We spent the day walking around checking out all of the teams in the paddock, the track during the races, the vendor tent area and there was a huge Porsche and Corvette gathering (I have only posted pics from the Porsche area). I ran into Darin (FisterD) while there, and someone I had not seen in 21 years, wow I took some pictures but not a lot, had problems with the camera, and before you ask, nope no pictures of barely clothed women on cars. All I saw were the umbrella girls walking around once and they were not that great IMHO. So on with the pictures (I have more than this but only posted the ones I felt were best, I even have some vids too that I took with my camera): Flying Lizard and other GT2 Cars The competition GT3 Cup cars Interesting paint scheme on this one P1, P2 and GT1 Cars Porsche Platz (about 200 Porsche's from PCA regions etc.) A few of the white GT3's that were all together OK, this is just wrong. Yellow film on the headlights (partial), painted spoiler underneath the front bumper, but the wheels WTF, oh and this is a CarreraRS Here's a car that we in the S.F. bay area have all seen and know about, it is one mean GT3RS Race Pictures Turn 4 Corkscrew (wow I can't wait to take my car around this track and do this part with the PCA-GGR ) Turn 9 to Turn 10 straight Turn 2 Corvette Pit Stop (notice the glow of the number plate, yes they raced into the night which was cool) Fireworks at the end of the race Hope you enjoyed the pictures

POST 2Original post

SD...Sweet pic....LS is always a good day...I live about 10 min. from the track off 68

POST 3Original post

sweet pics thanks for sharing....i've seen the green gt3rs around, awesome car.

POST 4Original post

Some great pics. Must be nice to witness some of the top end P cars as well as F cars etc. Leguna Seca has to be one of the all time best tracks to witness a race and see the corkscrew up close.

POST 6Original post

Thanks for starting my day off on a good foot.

POST 7Original post

Cool pics. One of the tracks I want to get to in my lifetime. Maybe next year... Looks like there's good spectator access for pics. Especially the bottom of the corkscrew without shooting through a fence. And the sun's even over your shoulder...

POST 8Original post

those pics are awesome!! love the jagermeister 911

POST 13Original post

Steven, Laguna Seca is a great track to run. The corkscrew is like a rhythm, you turn in before you can see what below you as the track falls away. The whole track is just a blast though PCA have a few events each year, so perhaps i'll see you there next time in 2008?

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am so glad you all enjoyed the pictures. It was a great day out for me as the last time I went was 5 years ago and then I was not into Porsche's so it was OK. This time around I was in awe over the Porsche's that I saw. Strangely enough I did not see a single Carrera GT there. Saw a Ford GT, Ferrari's, Bentley's, etc., but no CGT, oh well. Karl, I know PCA-GGR has a 1-day DE on Sunday, December 9th at Laguna Seca, but I will probably pass on it and wait until next year. I want to do my first DE's at Thunderhill where the run off areas are nicer to the car. See you on the track in '08
